Life is going great!
Natalie had her 6 week hip check, and they are perfect!! She does not have to go back. I asked the doctor about her shins, we noticed they looked a little curved and her feet were a little turned inwards. He told us that she is pigeon toed, it is not that uncommon. It will correct itself in a few years.
I went in for my 6 week check and my thyroid is a little large. I went in for a blood test and will get the results back in a few days. The doctor didn't think it was anything to worry about though, its just to be sure. Everything else was fine, and I can return to my normal activity... which means dieting and exercising... NO FUN!
We took a few pictures, we love to capture every moment of her life!
Natalie is officially out of newborn clothes. She is getting so big!! She has also starting smiling real smiles! She is adorable!!

This past weekend Grandma and Grandpa Smith came out to visit. And Grandma Carla was a VERY good Grandma... She watched Natalie Friday and Saturday night (all night) so mommy and daddy could get some good sleep. We even got to go to the movies. We saw The Proposal, and recommend everyone goes!! Sunday was Father's Day and we went out to breakfast and did presents before Grandma and Grandpa had to go back to Phoenix.
Recently Natalie turned 1 month old!! And to celebrate we toasted her (with sparkling cider). This month has gone by so fast, and she already has changed so much. We love to watch her grow and see her reach every little milestone.
We took her to the doctor last week because we found a lump on her back. We didn't think it was actually anything serious, but we wanted to be sure. And luckily we were right. The doctors think it is a collection of blood vessels, like a birth mark under her skin. The best way I can describe it is like there is a small marble under her skin.
About 2 weeks ago I walked into a set of weights, and hurt my foot. I could not get a doctor's appointment until this week. He referred me to get a X-ray and today I went. The doctor today said it was a small stress fracture, but I will have to wait to hear from my primary care physician to discuss what to do. I am thinking since I have been walking around for 2 weeks and it feels A LOT better, it will just heal on its own.

Yesterday was Landon's 1st birthday! Mommy, Daddy, Natalie, Grandma Carla, Grandpa Jim, Grandpa Paul, Cynthia, Uncle Jesse and Charlene were all there to celebrate with him. We went to the cemetery and decorated his grave. I baked him an Elmo cake and we all wrote messages to Landon on his 1st birthday puppy dog. Natalie brought him a teddy bear that says Natalie's Big Brother, and  Grandma Carla and Grandpa Jim brought him a soccer ball. We all ate Elmo cupcakes and sang "Happy Birthday". After the cemetery we all went and decorated Landon's tree.
We got through the day by remembering Landon, not mourning him. We celebrated him and his life he with us, we remembered all the happy memories we have, and all the joy he brought into the world. We know Landon had a beautiful birthday in heaven, and celebrated with all the other angels.

Recently we have realized we have a little issue... Natalie will only sleep in our arms. We are able to lay her down once she is sleeping, but she will wake up shortly after. So of course its very hard for either of us to get any sleep unless we are sleeping with her in our arms. So as I sat at the computer at 2AM this morning, Natalie in my arms of course, I decided to google this situation... Well I guess this is a very common issue!! I found so many discussion on this topic! But I was wondering if anyone reading this blog has any advice??
Natalie is starting to become more aware of the world around her, and it is such a neat thing to watch her observing everything thats going on. At times we think she is smiling... but I'm sure its still a little too early.
