Today is Tyler's 27th birthday!! Happy Birthday Tyler!!
My parents came to visit this weekend and celebrate Tyler's birthday. They got here Friday afternoon, and that evening we went to The Cheesecake Factory for his birthday dinner. Then we went home and had birthday cake... well, birthday rice krispy treat cake... Tyler doesn't like actual cake. Then on Saturday we went to the beach, and Natalie got to put her feet in the sand for the very first time, although she didn't really care :) That night Grandma and Grandpa babysat while Charlie, Tyler and me went and saw District 9. This morning we went and got bagels, and then it was time for the grandparents to leave. Natalie didn't want Grandma to leave! When she handed Natalie to me, she cried a little cry!!
Grandma did her Grandma duties :) She watched Natalie all night so Mommy and Daddy could get some sleep! We love these nights! And in the morning Grandpa took Natalie for a couple hours so Grandma could go back to sleep. Good teamwork!!
Now... big news... today Natalie rolled over for the very first time!!! She was in her crib napping and I heard her waking up, so I went in to check on her and she looked as if she was in the process of rolling over, and she did!! But then I thought, maybe it was not really a "true first roll over" because I had laid her down to sleep on her side... So, I took her into the living room and laid her on the floor and we started playing. I put a toy to the side of her, and she rolled over again!! Our little girl is getting so big!!!

Natalie is doing great!
She has discovered her hands and feet, and loves shoving her fists into her mouth! She seems like she is trying to get her feet in her mouth too, but thats not working out so well for her!
She hardly ever sucks her pacifier anymore, she chews it!
Natalie is sitting up with our help, and is loving it! We got her a Bumbo chair and it works great.
Last weekend Mima and JP came for a visit. Charlie had to work, but we were able to meet him for lunch on one of those days.
Tyler has come over a couple times, its great having him so close!!
Tomorrow my parents will be coming to visit. We will be celebrating Tyler's 27th birthday... Wow... he is old!!

In her Bumbo chair... watching TV...
We didn't face her that way, she just turned her head to watch!

It has been one year since our beautiful baby became an angel...
It's hard to even know what to say today, but I will start by sharing with you what we have done. We started the day with a phone call, my parents went to the cemetery to visit Landon, my mom called and put the phone down so we could talk to him. After that we put 2 white roses on Landon's memorial table and lit his candle.
We knew today was going to be an emotional day, but we have been thinking of the happy memories we shared with him. When the minister spoke at Landon's funeral he said something that stuck with me, and has given me comfort throughout this past year, he said that heaven knows no time... So to Landon, it was only a moment ago that he was being held in Mommy and Daddy's arms, and getting kisses on his sweet little face. I know Landon is in heaven, a place more wonderful than any of us can imagine. We may never know the reason God chose Landon to be an angel, but we are grateful for every moment of Landon's 58 days with us.
Please say a prayer for Landon today, or simply tell him hello.
Rest In Peace.

We have been busy, busy, busy!!
My brother Tyler got stationed here in San Diego, so last weekend him and my dad drove out here. This was Natalie's first time meeting her Uncle Tyler. Natalie is getting to be old enough that she knows when someone isn't familiar, and we learned this when her and Uncle Tyler were meeting... She gave him a look like "I don't know you", then proceeded to cry. But by the end of the weekend they were friends!!
Then on Tuesday Natalie had her check up and shots. She is 13.7 lbs and 24 1/4". Big baby!!!! She is in the 90th percentile for her weight and length. She didn't enjoy the shots, and neither did mommy!! We both were full of tears! She cried and it just broke my heart!! But, after she calmed down she slept and slept and slept. When she finally woke up she was fussy (not surprising), so I put her in the carrier and walked her around the house. She seemed to enjoy this, and fell asleep. The doctor gave us Tylenol, but we never had to use it.
On Wednesday I had a dentist appointment, and lets just say I need to take a lot better care of my teeth! We will be teaching Natalie all about having healthy teeth as soon as we can, we want her to have good, healthy habits!
On Thursday I had a doctor's appointment for my foot. It's feeling a lot better, but its still not healed. I broke it 2 months ago, and took my time getting to the doctor. They took x-rays and I was told it was fractured. Then I was sent to a specialist, he said it was actually broken, but since I took so long to see a doctor and it was already healing, he was not going to put a cast on... which I was just fine with!
On Friday my parents came to visit us, well, mostly Natalie :) On Saturday Charlie had to work but we met him at Seaport Village for lunch. Grandma bought Natalie a toy while we were looking at the shops, its cow that has a rattle and teether attached. Its black, white, and green. Natalie seems to love it! On Friday and Saturday night Grandma Carla watched Natalie ALL night so mommy could get a full nights sleep!!! That was very much appreciated... and always is!!!!
We are still holding her while she sleeps most of the time, and we know that has to change. Starting tomorrow night, she will be sleeping in her crib. We have said this before, but we need to do this now, otherwise it is just going to get harder! Wish us luck!!
