We had a very busy, but very fun week.
We drove to Phoenix on Tuesday, Natalie did great the whole way there. That night we didn't do too much, just relaxed.
Wednesday morning Natalie and I drove to Surprise to visit my friend Ashley. She has a daycare in her home so Natalie was able to play with the other kids. She seemed to have a lot of fun, and enjoyed playing with all the toys. In the afternoon we met my parents for lunch at Olive Garden. Later in the afternoon Grandma Carla, Mommy, and Natalie made a trip to Toys R Us and Grandma bought Natalie a play kitchen. Natalie LOVES it!! That night Charlie and I went to the Yankees vs. Diamondbacks game. Charlie is a huge fan of the Yankees, and that's why we made this trip to Phoenix. The Yankees won that night, so Charlie was happy :)
Thursday we waited in line hoping to get the iPhone, but no luck (not that we were surprised). And we spent the rest of the day with Charlie's mom, brother Jesse and Charlene. We went shopping and out to dinner. At dinner I had a Raspberry Lemon Drop, and I think that's one of the best drinks I have had (maybe because the rim was covered in sugar).
Friday morning we woke up and Natalie was covered in throw up!! We aren't sure when she threw up, but we don't think it was too long before we got her out of her crib. She didn't seem sick, so we aren't sure what made her throw up. We know her diet was a little different, so that could have upset her stomach. It could have been the heat of Phoenix (100 degree days), or maybe she put her fingers too far down her throat, that's become a recent habit of hers. We made it home, and Natalie didn't throw up anymore. But she was not a happy girl on the way home, she couldn't nap very well and was fussy. Once we got home and she was able to run around and play she was a little happier, but we could tell she still wasn't feeling too great.
Yesterday she had no appetite and wasn't drinking too much either. She had a couple messy diapers, and I know Charlie was happy he wasn't here to change those!!!
Today she seems to be better, she is eating more but she still isn't drinking as much as normal.
Natalie has started letting us know when she is done eating by saying "dah"... meaning all done. It's very cute :)

This weekend my mom came out to visit us, she got here Thursday and left tonight. We didn't do too much on Thursday, Friday we celebrated Landon's birthday, and Saturday night my mom and Tyler babysat so Charlie and I could go to a wedding. Some of his friends from his 1st duty station were getting married here in San Diego. I was kind of dreading leaving Natalie because for the past few days she had been in a "Mommy mood", where she pretty much needs to be able to see me at all times or she freaks out!! But, everything ended up ok, she cried off and on for awhile but then cheered up and was a happy girl for the rest of the night. My mom sent me pictures throughout the night to show me Natalie was doing good and having fun. The wedding was nice, Charlie knew a few people there so that was nice. We ended up having nobody else at our table, it was assigned seating and 3 other couples were suppose to be with us, but they didn't show up. So it was kind of like we were on a date :) Dinner and dancing!! I even got adventurous and tried a couple new drinks that I have never had, a Cosmo and a Lemon Drop, and I enjoyed both of them.
Natalie (with a little help from Mommy) made Grandma a few gifts for coming out to babysit. We had a few empty container and lots of scrap booking supplies... We used an empty formula container to make a gift can to put all the other gift in, on the front we wrote "World's Best Grandma", and then inside we used an Altoids tin (decorated of course) to store marble magnets we made with Natalie's picture in them, on the tin it said, Grandmas are like moms with lots of frosting. We also used an empty baby food jar to put M&Ms in, and decorated the jar, I can't remember what that one said, but it was another cute quote about Grandma's. I meant to take a picture, but I forgot.
Today before my mom left we were able to make a trip over to the pool. It was a nice sunny day, and perfect for the pool. Natalie got in the kiddie pool, it was only 1' deep, but it didn't really work for her because she tried to sit down and then her face was in the water... so we took her into the regular pool and she was in an inflatable ring. She had a lot of fun splashing in the water, and was even kicking her legs! Next summer she will be getting swimming lessons.

Now, here are A LOT of pictures from the past couple weeks:

Grandpa Paul's last day visiting,
we went to the beach (even though it was freezing)!

I think she finally got tired of touching his things,
so she just started touching him!!
My daughter is hilarious!

Happy 2nd Birthday Landon!!
Today Landon would have turned 2 years old!!
This morning I made Landon a birthday cake, and then earlier tonight we sang "Happy Birthday" and celebrated his 2nd birthday.
It's hard to imagine what our lives would be like right now if Landon was still with us, and we try not to think about the way things could have been too often, because we know from the moment he was conceived he was meant to be an angel. But on a day like today, our minds can't help but wonder... What presents would a 2 year old little boy want?? What characters would he like?? And sometimes we even wonder what he would look like, I am guessing he would look like his sister since they looked very similar when they were born. My mom had a dream last night, and in her dream she saw Landon... He had straight, light brown hair and was wearing glasses. And in my mind, I think that sounds like it could be accurate. But, whenever I see him in my mind, he is always my little 58 day old baby.
We know Landon had a beautiful birthday in heaven, and we know he can feel all of our love. He is such a special little boy, and we will remember him and celebrate him until we are all together again.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY OUR SWEET ANGEL!!
