Today Charlie ran his 1st marathon!!
This morning Charlie, Natalie, Paul and I got up at 4AM so we could get ready to go. We left the house around 5:30ish and were at the start line by 6AM, the race started at 6:15. Charlie's goal was to finish between 3 hours 15 minutes and 3 hours 30 minutes.
Throughout the race Paul, Natalie and I were able to walk/take the trolley to certain points to see Charlie running.
It was a lot of fun going around to watch him, and Natalie did great the whole time! She wasn't fussy at all, and even took a nap. I know if Paul wasn't here to meet up with Charlie at all of the spots, I never would have figured out where to go. So Paul, if you are reading this, thank you!!

At the start line...
Stretching
Charlie and me
Natalie eating her bagel
Everyone in front of Charlie
Everyone behind Charlie
You can't tell in this picture, but this extends SO far back!!
Charlie was in the 3rd coral, and there were 39!!
Charlie and Paul
Charlie getting ready...
This is the first time we were able to see Charlie during the race,
it was around the 7th mile and he was feeling good and doing great!
Going around a loop...
Here he comes!
Charlie is so sweet, he stopped to give me and Natalie a kiss!!
We are at the second spot waiting for Charlie,
it was around the 14th mile.
Natalie was taking a nap.
It was a little chilly, so she needed her blanket
Here's Charlie coming!!
Getting licorice...
Hello!
Ok, I'm was being a bit of a stalker in this picture...
I need to give you a little background information first...
On TLC there is a show me and Charlie watch
called LA Ink, and a group of them were doing the race.
A guy passed me, and it took me a second,
and then it clicked... HE WAS FROM THE SHOW!!
So after he passed, I took out my camera and got a picture.
I am almost 100% sure its him...
The 3rd time we were able to see Charlie,
his head is between the 2 ladies.
I believe this is around the 20 mile mark...
There he is!
Charlie was starting to be in pain at this point,
cramping everywhere, and thinking he might not finish.
His new goal was to finish the race in under 4 hours.
Paul ran with him for about 5 miles,
gave him some supplements to help him,
and when he left him, Charlie was feeling a lot better!
During the time Paul was running with Charlie,
me and Natalie played on the swings.
We had about 1 hour before Paul came back to get us.
Natalie had never been in this kind of swing,
but she ended up loving it!
At first, she wasn't too sure what to think...
She looks a little scared here...
But as soon as I started pushing her,
she was all smiles!
Having fun!
So happy!
Weeee!!!
You can see her shirt, it says "My Daddy Rocks"...
This was the Rock-and-Roll Marathon.
Laughing!
Smiles!
This was a guy running with an inflatable monkey on his back...
Finished!!
Just under his goal of 4 hours,
he ran it in 3 hours and 55 minutes!
My husband is awesome and I am so proud of him!!
Family Picture
And another...
Tyler came out to watch as Charlie finished the race, it was so packed with people that Ty wasn't actually able to see Charlie cross the finish line, but I thought it was pretty great Tyler came out to support Charlie!
I know I already said this, but I think Charlie is totally awesome for running this marathon, I know its something I could never do, and not something many others could do either. Charlie had actually inspired me to run, and for the past couple months I have been, not that I can run the distances he can, but maybe someday in the far far far future I could do a 1/2 marathon with him. For now, I will focus on running farther than 1 mile :)

A few extra pictures of my princess...
Sitting in her chair
Pointing at the camera
Being silly...
She was pulling her pant legs up
and walking around the living room.
Playing next to the TV,
which she knows is a no-no...
She was so interested in everything...
She had to touch it all!
Investigating...
Natalie and Grandpa Paul playing a game of chase!!
Playtime!
