Wow! Its been awhile since I have blogged, but there has been a lot going on!!
We did finally get to San Diego, and its wonderful! The weather is great, and I know Charlie is loving being out of the Virginia cold! We only had to stay in the Navy Lodge for a couple days until we were able to move into our apartment. We both love our apartment, its exactly what we wanted. We have an attached garage which is very convenient. We still do not have our things from Japan yet, but we are hoping that they will be here next week sometime. So for now we are on an air mattress... Which was lent to us by his sponsor, she has been so helpful with this move to San Diego. Right now Charlie is working from 7-3 and sometime in April will be working 4 days on 4 days off. Right now its still a lot of paper work and checking in for him.
When we first got here we met up with some friends from high school. We went for pizza at Hobokins (no idea if that's spelled right). It was fun seeing them since it has been years!
We have already had our first house guests... even though they had to sleep on the floor... Charlie's brother Jesse came out with his girlfriend Charlene, and their friend 2.0. They only stayed a couple days, but we had fun hanging out with them when we could, we still had some moving in things to do. But we did go to Mission Beach with them, it was a little chilly to get in the water, but they actually did... they even built a sand castle! Then that night we went to the Mexico vs Cuba game, Mexico lost :( They had these things called Thunder Sticks that you bang together, and to me they almost sounded like pots and pans... well Natalie was jumping around every time we banged those together! She was probably wondering what in the world was going on!!
Speaking of Natalie, everything is going great with the pregnancy. I am having braxton hicks contractions. With Landon I never knew that's what they were, but this time I have know exactly what was going on. I have my first doctor appointment here on March 30th. I do have a man doctor, which I am not too thrilled about, but because I had placenta previa earlier in this pregnancy, that's the doctor they said I have to have. But I'm sure it will be just fine. I have been really sleepy this past week, I think that's common in the 3rd trimester.
We did make a trip back to Phoenix already, but it was basically just to pick up some of the things we could not fit in our car when we originally came out. I am glad we do not have to make that trip again anytime soon. Even though its not that long, doing it so much does get a little old. While we were there our friend Nicole took some pregnancy photos of us in a park near her house. They turned out great and I will post them soon.
We have been getting letters from Tyler, but unfortunately he has not been receiving ours. We write him all the time, so I am not sure whats going on. We think that he thinks we are not writing him... I hope he gets all of ours soon and sees the dates on our letters and know that we have not forgotten about him! He sounds like he is doing good, he exercises a lot and he can tell he is getting into shape. He is very excited for graduation on April 17th. I wish I could go to see him graduate, but hopefully I'll get lots of pictures. He found out his next school, A school, is 12 weeks instead of 9 like he originally thought. But he will get leave when that's over, and from my understanding will be going to Phoenix to visit. So, we will be taking a trip to Phoenix too so we can see Tyler.
